Vladimir Putin’s warning like that of Julian Assange ought to be heeded

Russian President Vladimir Putin has echoed the words of Julian Assange in warning that malware created by government intelligence agencies can trickle down to small time hackers who can subsequently hold people to ransom.

This was recently seen during the so-called ‘WannaCry’ cyber-attacks.

President Putin stated,

“Microsoft’s management has made it clear that the virus originated from US intelligence service”.

Trickle-down hacking is now very real.
